Built by Coal Baron Robert Dunsmuir in the pioneer days of Victoria this was the finest castle on the West Coast of North America. Fine stain glass windows, imported Italian marble and beautiful hardwood and marble inlaid floors along with rounded twin towers made this the talk of early Victorians. Victoria also features a second Castle built by the Dunsmuirs - Hatley Castle in nearby Langford. |
