Not only does he make drums, and operate a kiosk of native art he also heads up the Pow Wow which is named after his grandfather. He is a founding member of the Yellow Wolf drum group. He and his family have been a wonderful source of information on Pow Wow's and other events.       Harold Amos is our North Island consultant. He is shown here in his favorite position - eating some of his wife Georgina's cooking. We are counting on Harold and Georgina to correct and help with content on the North Island - especially the Nuuchahnulth information. Both Brenda and Mike owe a lot to the Amos family and this website was inspired by one of the greatest storytellers of all time - Moses Smith ( the old Buffalo ) and his grandchildren, Harold, Louise and Eugene. |
|       Island Native Command would like to acknowledge with thanks Salish artist Joe Wilson for allowing us the use of his art on our header (the Salmon) and on the background for the Pow Wow pages. - Thanks Joey !       We would also like to thank all the many people who gave us permission to take their photo's and gave us interviews for our website. |
