First Peoples Festival 2002
2nd Weekend in August

2003 Festival Photo's are not available as we only had 1 photographer and he was at the Yellow Wolf Pow Wow. It seems a shame that the Friendship Center schedules this event on the same weekend as the Pow Wow.

Hosted by the Victoria Native Friendship Center and the Royal BC Museum

Join us next time at the First Peoples Festival! First Nations Art - both local and international Aboriginal art. Meet the artists selling their own art at each table and booth. Bring the children to the Children's Area, where they can do their own artwork or get their faces painted. Come watch First Nations dancers and singers doing traditional dances either in the Mungo Martin Bighouse or outside on the main stage in the courtyard. There are contemporary singers as well! Listen to storytellers from many different First Nations as they tell their own stories. Fun for everyone!
