Nisga'a Dancers - our Best Photo
The Chiefs. This photo contains a little of everything! The two chiefs are dancing in the inner circle on the left. The man to the right of them with the carved stick and cedar bark hat is keeping order, making sure everything goes smoothly. In front of the Chiefs a young boy is dancing close to the ground. In the foreground the 2 big cedar box drums are being played. In the background you can see most of the female singers, singing and dancing - giving respect to the Chiefs. Thank you Terrace Nisga'a Dancers! We felt very honoured and overwhelmed by the way you shared with us. I do not know how to say thank you in your language, but in mine we say Hy'ch-ka!
