Traditionally made cedar and antler knives These beautiful knives were made with high speed steel by Dave Jack. Dave makes the knives and Charles McKay does the carving. Charles McKay's specialty is carving antler. In the photo, the two bottom knives are made from moose antler and the middle one is made from deer antler with abalone inlay. Dave has been doing knives for over 10 years. Dave Jack is Coast Salish from Hope, BC. He lives in Vancouver now. We need to help support our artists who support the Pow Wow. All you carvers, you know you'll carve beautifully with knives like these! You can visit him at Shop Trade Works, 876 E. Cordova St. in Vancouver and phone (604)253-9355. |
